My personal take on this issue
1) It really depends on the type of market that you are in
2) You need to TEST in order to find out what works best for your market

    This takes the whole concept of the world wide web and sets it back 15 years.

    What happens to merchants overseas for instance?

    It may work for high ticket items in the US but That’s about it!

    Yes, it seem that we are heading back 15 years ago.
    Then again, some things may never change in life.

    There are still people out there who just love to pick up the phone and talk to a “live” person before ordering.

    As with anything, test to find out before we can draw a final conclusion whether it works for both low and high ticket items.
